INT 3001

The Academic Internship (INT 3001) course was a course accompanying my on-campus internship at the UC Learning Commons as an SRS (Supplemental Review Session) Leader. SRS Leaders are responsible for running Math review sessions to supplement the various Math courses offered at UC. Therefore, professionalism was going to be important to ensure I fulfilled my role and was organized, met my deadlines, and managed the workload along with my responsibilities as a student.
The course was really useful for helping me out with that, because various topics relating to professionalism were covered, including how to present oneself in the work place, how to keep track of the skills I was developing, and how to learn from my experiences and present those in interviews. The course impacted me in that I enjoyed discussing some of the topics I mentioned with my classmates through our online discussion boards. It was very useful to be able to hear what their interpretations of the different articles we read and videos we watched, and also to see what techniques they used to stay on top of their work. Furthermore, I really enjoyed the end of the course when we had to submit our own independent project, and I chose to design a module about getting things done with minimal stress.

Below you will find a PDF version of the flyer I made for my final independent project for the INT 3001 course.
