"Developing students into global citizen scholars who lead innovative efforts toward solving the world's complex problems." (From the UHP website).
What does that mean to me? The program helps students like myself develop into the kind of people they need to be to hopefully make the world a better place.

"The University Honors Program is committed to offering students an individualized, student-centered approach to a meaningful undergraduate experience. To that end, we are dedicated to:
Promoting activities that lead students to discover their passions and enhance their gifts and talents.
Coaching students to purposefully engage in experiential learning opportunities and reflection to maximize and integrate their learning.
Fostering a community that prioritizes transformational personal development, civic participation, and global responsibility."
(From the UHP website).

Throughout our undergraduate experience, we take on and complete a minimum of five experiences. At the end of each one, we look back and reflect on what the experience was like and what we learned. All of this is done with the help and guidance of our assigned Honors Advisor.
The reflections for my experiences can be found under the Experiences tab.

An experience is kind of like a project you take on. It can be pre-approved by the program, like my work with the CCRL. Or it can be self-designed, like my work with Professor Dziech.
I need a minimum of five experiences to graduate as a University Honors Program Scholar.
You can find the reflections for my experiences under the Experiences tab.

The Thematic Areas are designed to help us focus our experiences on developing the skills we will need to benefit the global community. Each Honors Experience falls under at least one. There are five of them, and they are:
Community Engagement
Creativity
Global Studies
Leadership
Research
